nAbout iit jee! IIT JEE is the most important qualifying examination for admission to engineering colleges in India. It is a computer-based examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) every year. The test is divided into two parts, Part I (maths, physics, chemistry and biology) and Part II (engineering). The exam has been made tougher in recent years and a good score on it is necessary to get admission into most of the top engineering colleges in India. The IIT JEE Advanced 2017 was conducted on 2 July 2017. About 1,717 students appeared for the examination from across India. A total of 581 students qualified for the first stage which was the Common Entrance Test (CET). Out of these, only 289 students were selected for the second stage which was an Interview Round. Candidates who qualify for the second stage are called for an IIT JEE Main Exam. This exam has a total of 210 questions and lasts for three hours. A candidate needs to achieve at least a minimum score of 550 out of 800 in order to qualify for the Main Exam.
